I love these bugs and their little butts that light up. I was outside tonight and the fields are alive with lightning bugs. I say lightning bugs, some say fireflys. Whatever. Those bugs with the butts that light up. Nothing says summer for me quite like these little guys. I like to catch them and let ‘em crawl all over my hand. Sometimes I have to make them fly away because they don’t want to leave me. I’m so sweet, that’s why =P I’ve heard stories about kids that would catch some lightning bugs and put them in a jar. I never did that. To me, that seems cruel. Hopefully, those kids let them go again before that jar became a crime scene. I’d just rather watch them fly and be free. I’m such a hippie.
