My favorite day of the week is Saturday. I think the reason for this is because it means “cartoon day” to me. Back in the old days, ya know, the 70s and 80s, us kiddies could only watch cartoons on Saturday mornings. Some of my faves were (some are live action, not cartoons) Bugs Bunny, ABC Weekend Specials, Captain Caveman, The Snorks (I call them the underwater Smurfs), Flintstone Kids, American Bandstand, Scooby-Doo, Land of the Lost (original, not that crappy remake of the 90s), Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, Fat Albert. Okay, I’ll admit it, I watched some toons in the 90s too. Some of those were Doug, Tiny Toons, Pinky and the Brain, Camp Candy, Life With Louie, PepperAnn, Recess, Bobby’s World. I’m sure there’s more but I can’t remember any more. I gotta go find some old tapes and relive my youth. Geez, my middle name should have been ‘Nostalgia’.
