Sunday dinner is always a big thing in the South. We had barbecue chicken today and it made me think of Sunday dinners of long ago. Actually, our Sunday started with a big breakfast and this was always my favorite. My mom made biscuits from scratch, eggs, bacon, fried taters, and yummy gravy. I don’t really remember the Sunday lunch menu as much as I remember these wonderful breakfasts. I wish I had someone to cook for me today and everyday. I want a biscuit!!!

I must admit it, I am a child at heart. Today I found myself in the floor, on my belly, coloring in an activity book. It was one of those pages that you color by number and it was a turtle. I can’t help it, I just love activity books. Plain old coloring books lack pizzazz, all you do is color in those, but activity books have all kinds of stuff to do. I am particularly fond of the dot-to-dots and color by numbers. Oh, and the mazes are cool, too. I bought my activity book yesterday at a store that had them for 50% off. Hey, at those prices, who could resist? Well, I must get back to my pages…I need to find a green crayon for number 3.

Sharpies

Sharpies are the greatest marker ever invented. Just my opinion. I use mine to draw and I have about 40 of ‘em. The pics above and below are drawings of mine, but they are not the best ones I have, I just didn’t feel like using the scanner tonight and these were already on my computer. My favorite type of Sharpie is the double end ones. There is a fat tip on one end and a fine line tip on the other. Just perfect for all my artistic needs. I love to doodle and I cannot call my drawings art…it’s just something I do. Gotta go, I feel a drawing coming on.
